With December being close, winter is just around the corner. I feel like it's a reasonably good excuse to get new stuff, especially with all the amazing holiday collections being released. So here are some products that are definitely on my to-buy list this season!

    1. Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection - I feel like the Chapman sisters did a really good job with these brushes, aesthetically speaking. This new design takes them to a whole other level, and since the quality is already amazing on the regular ones, I can already tell this new collection will be just as good!

    2. Prada Candy Perfume - I have been wanting to buy this perfume as well as YSL Manifesto. The second one being off my checklist, I desperately need to get this one. I am a sweet perfume kinda gal, and I love the fact that this one smells like vanilla sugar and caramel without being too overwhelming.

    3. NARS + Steven Klein One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette - NARS blushes are one the most long-wearing and flattering blushes there is on the market, which is one of the main reasons I want to give this palette a try. It offers so much versatility, with one highlight shade, two contour shades and four blushes, the price tag seems more than justified. Besides, one can never own too many blushes - at least that's the motto I tend to live by!

    4. Erborian CC Crème HD - I have tried this a couple of months ago and I fell in love with it. It leaves my face looking very healthy and glowing, and gives the perfect amount of coverage as well. This would prove to be really useful on those days when you don't feel like wearing any foundation but still want to look decent!

    5. Jo Malone Honey Nectarine Blossom Candle - Because of the high price tag, I haven't bought anything from this brand yet, but the nice florally, fruity scent of this candle might just be the push I needed to finally indulge.

    6. Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil - Being half Moroccan, Argan Oil is one of my holy grails for haircare and has always been. The only thing I don't like about it is that it feels a little heavy to use on my combination skin. This product is apparently very lightweight and gets praises all over the blogosphere for its moisturizing power. I would really like to see if it is worth the hype!

    7. Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - I've been pretty content with my DIY honey and sugar lip scrub so far, but this one tastes amazing and I'd really like to give it a try, especially considering I wear a lot of matte lipsticks during winter.

    8. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder - I have been lusting after this powder for such a long time because of how much it has been raved about. I am curious to find out whether or not it would pass the test on my oily T-Zone.

    9. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Holiday 2015 Edition - Do I really need to get started on this? I mean, it is Hourglass, the quality of their products is phenomenal. This palette contains six exquisite shades, including plum, warm pink and bronze colors, making it perfect for winter time. Plus, I don't own any of the other Ambient Lighting Palettes!

What about you, fellow beauty addicts? Anything on your wishlist for winter/Christmas?

Recently, I was browsing through Sephora's website and found this beauty on sale for 16€ instead of 28€, in the shade "Something About Berry". I've actually always wanted to try it out so I decided to dive in once and for all!

Too Faced is known for its eye-catchingly cute and girly packaging, but also for its excellent quality, which is why it's one of my all-time favorite makeup brands. Needless to say I had very high expectations when first trying out this product.

This blush comes in a lovely heart-shaped box and is made of three colors - mauve, coral, and a warm, deep magenta - which can either be swirled together or applied separately. I have tried both methods, and I prefer the first. It gives a more natural glow to the skin, but if you're feeling a more dramatic look, you will appreciate using the magenta shade on its own.

Since it is a baked blush, it is extremely pigmented (more than I expected it to be!), so fairer skin tones would probably appreciate applying it sparingly. The silky soft finish gives a warm pink flush to the cheeks and the luminous sheen isn't glittery or over-the-top.

Finally, the lasting power of this blush is quite good and I did not experience a lot of fading after wearing it for six hours (without any primer or setting spray). Overall, I think it would look flattering on anyone and I am really looking forward to using this, especially during winter time!

Hey guys! I just went a little crazy lately in the makeup department, but hey, treat yo self, right? So I've been wanting to test out some more TheBalm products, but as always, it's quite hard to get your hand on this brand around here. But the Internet can be an amazing place sometimes - well, not for my wallet though! I got the Mary-Lou Manizer highlight and the Cabana Boy blush.

First of all, can we talk about PIGMENTATION ? The highlighter is insanely pigmented, so much that I always have to be careful with it and tap off the excess. It's crazy, but in a good way. It leaves a nice golden, champagne glow to the skin and can definitely be built up for a more dramatic look. I don't have that many highlighters to begin with, so I'm glad to count this one in my tiny collection.

The blush is out of my comfort zone, to be honest. I am very used to coral tones like NARS Orgasm and Milani Luminoso, but I decided to change it up a bit by trying out this one. It's a true, deep rose-toned blush with very warm undertones, so it might not be suitable for everyone. It's a little bit shimmery, but nothing over-the-top, and again, the pigmentation is extraordinary.

    Here are the swatches :

Overall i'm really happy with these two and I'm looking forward to splurging on other products from theBalm! I'd especially recommend the blush to people with warmer skin tones, but the highlight would look flattering on anyone.

Today I wanted to show you what I usually wear on day-to-day basis, when I don't feel like doing anything over the top. I will say this, though, my routine changes a lot. If I want to wear bold plum lipstick, blue eyeliner or yellow eyeshadow, even to college, then so be it. This is just what I use when I want something more simple/discrete.

First, I start by applying NARS Sheer Glow in Punjab for foundation. I love this one, ever since I got it last year it has become my favorite foundation ever. The staying power is insane, it has incredible coverage while looking natural at the same time. The only downside is that my skin does tend to get oily quite quickly with this, which is why I make sure to powder my T-zone with Soap & Glory One Heck of A Blot after applying NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer. I could also go on and on about this but I don't want to ruin the purpose of this post, so maybe I'll do a comparison with MAC Pro Longwear in another post.

Moving on to cheeks, I usually apply Benefit Hoola Bronzer, I've actually hit pan with that one because it's so flattering! I have quite medium/olive skin but it suits everyone. I then reach for NARS Blush in 'Orgasm' which gives a perfect blush and highlight at the same time.

For eyes, I usually start by using the Urban Decay Primer Potion which makes my eyeshadow basically stay on all day! As you can see it's almost empty now, but I've had this since last year so it's really worth the price. I then use my Urban Decay Naked Palette to create a warm nude/neutral eyeshadow look. I then thinly line my eyes in a cat-eye shape with Essence 2 in 1 double-tip eyeliner, before putting on mascara on by top and bottom lashes. For top lashes, I use Elizabeth Arden 'Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment' Mascara, which - as the name suggests - contains a treatment to care for your lashes and make them longer. I really love how long and full my lashes look while using this. For bottom lashes, it's also perfect, but I prefer to reach for Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara which does a great job at separating the lashes one by one.

Finally, I finish up with brows, and lips. For brows, my all-time favorite product is Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil in the shade Dark Brown. If you don't know that yet, I'm a brow obsessed girl, and this is the part of my makeup that I usually end up loving or hating, there's no in between! To make sure they stay in place for the whole day, I use Essence 'Make me Brow' Gel. I then finish the look with a nude lipstick or lip pencil. Lately, it has been this Revlon Colorbust Lipstick in the shade Peach, but I also switch it up with NYX 'Natural' lip pencil.

That's it! I actually haven't been wearing that much makeup lately because I don't have class that much, and I'm either at home or working out. But that's pretty much what I would usually go for. I hope you enjoyed this post :)

Hello! I'm Kirstie, and I blog over at Kimamely Beauty. Originally Sarah suggested writing a Spring Beauty Essentials for her guest post over on my blog, but we realised that it would make a great collaboration! Read on to find out what's been in my makeup bag to fight winter away.

I'm all about keeping the base light and dewy, so I've been mixing the Topshop All Over Glow in Ignite with my usual base, the L'Oréal Infallible Matte Foundation. This gives a gorgeous glowy look that is great for perking up pasty skin.
Continuing with the fresh theme, I'm reaching for Benefit's Posie Tint. This is a gel/liquid hybrid that can be used on both the lips and cheeks. I love it as a blush as it looks really dewy and healthy, and the pink shade is perfect for a springtime flush.

Moving on to eyes, I've been loving the Bourjois Colorband in Mauve Baroque. It is such a flattering way to wear a pastel shade, and the shadow sticks are so simple to use. I apply and blend out with a fluffy brush for a pretty wash of colour.
For the lips it has been a toss up between two products. The first is the Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm in Coral. The shade is beautiful for spring, and is so pigmented for a balm. I'm also loving the fresh glossy look of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laques, particularly the nude shade, Rosé

Finally for nails, I've been calling on the Seventeen Colour Clash Nail Effects. I'm loving the pastel shades, and it looks beautiful over a plain white base, as well as lasting forever!
I hope you're feeling inspired to update your makeup bag for spring. I'd like to say a massive thank you to Sarah for letting me guest post! If you want to see her spring beauty essentials, you can find her guest post on my blog here.

So a couple of days ago, a new Kiko store just opened and since I've always bought their stuff online I was super excited to have the products right in front of me !

If you don't know about Kiko Cosmetics, it's a really affordable italian beauty brand. They have such a wide range of products and colors - whether we're talking about skin care products, makeup, nail polishes, they pretty much got it all covered! As a beauty junkie, you can imagine how overwhelmed I felt when I walked into the store. I wanted it all! But I came back to my senses and decided to focus on eye and lip products.

From left to right : Nail Lacquer n°529 in 'Metallic Beetle', Automatic Precision Eyeliner n°708, Glamorous Eye Pencil n°406 'Dark Violet', Smart Lip Pencils n°710 & 715

As you can see, the colors are quite bold, which is exactly what I wanted, both for eyes and lips. I've been wanting to create a yellow/glitter eyeliner look so the yellow eye pencil was an obvious choice. It also comes with a sponge tip which makes it perfect for creating a smokier look.  The other eye pencil I got is my favorite. It's a deep purple, shimmery color that applies heavenly onto the eyes, and it's also a waterproof formula.

The two lip pencils I got were also on the bolder side, one being a deep burgundy plum color, and the other leaning towards a violet/pink shade. They both have a matte finish but are not drying on the lips which I love (in comparison to some NYX or MAC lip pencils I have in mind).

Finally, the nail polish was also a huge favorite. Kiko nail polishes are known for being really high-quality and having a long staying power, but for some reason I'm always amazed! It's a gorgeous blue and green metallic color. I thought I'd need several coats of this for maximum opacity, but I only applied one and it was more than enough.

Overall I'm really happy with the products and I'm definitely planning on going back to the store some time soon. Wishing you all an amazing week!

Hey guys! I got back from London about a week ago (nothing to do with the song haha) and let me just say, it was absolutely amazing! We spent 5 days on a little holiday with my friend Safiya (you can find her here). Though I could speak endlessly about all the amazing food we had, the crazy shopping we did till we couldn't even walk anymore, i'm just going to focus on the beauty stuff i got from this trip.

The first thing I got, without even asking for it, was an awesome surprise which Safiya made me. I was literally head over heels while opening it! It's the Too Faced Everything Nice palette. This palette is the thing every beauty addict will want in their life, because it has such a wide range of colors there's literally nothing you can't do with it. The eyeshadows are SO pigmented it's crazy, my favorite at the moment is the shade 'Girly' and i'm sure you can tell by the way it looks on the picture. People have been giving me compliments about the way my makeup looks lately, little do they know it is thanks to this little piece of heaven I get to use every single morning! The palette also has one bronzer - including the iconic 'Chocolate Soleil' one - two blushes, including 'Papa don't Peach' my favorite at the moment, and a highlighter called 'Inner Light' which is also marvelous. It also comes with a pretty pink, sparkly pouch which you can use as a makeup bag, a mini 'Better Than Sex' mascara, and tiny golden cruelty free brushes. In a nutshell, it is GORGEOUS. I am serious guys. This is the best thing I've ever got in the history of my beauty obsession, and God knows how many products I've tried!

The next things I got were hair products : Organix 'Anti Breakage Keratin Oil' shampoo, Tresemme 'Keratin Smooth' heat protectant spray, and two bottles of the Aussie Miracle Moist conditioner, which i have been using for almost a year now, becoming really tired of having to purchase it online every single time. Until now, I was really liking my haircare routine using, among other things, the 'Rehab' shampoo from Lush but I still wanted to try something else. I was actually very impressed by the OGX because a) it smells amazingly good and b) my hair has never been so soft! I think I'll definitely repurchase it. The Tresemme Keratin Smooth spray is supposed to give your hair some shine after using heat tools on it, to be honest I've only noticed a slight difference, but nothing too crazy compared to my good ol' Heat Tamer Spray.

As our splurge to Boots continued - they had a 3 for 2 sale which got us totally obsessed and made us save a lot of money, we both went for some Soap and Glory stuff. I love me some great body products, and since I had never tried that brand before, I decided to give it a go with some sample size products. I got 'Hand Food' which is a really nice hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow. It penetrates pretty fast and smells so good, I love it. The other products I got were 'Hand Maid', a hand sanitizer & 'Flake Away', a body scrub, but I haven't tried them yet. I also bought two nail polishes from the brand 'Model's Own' in the shades  'Luis Neon' and 'Blueberry Muffin', and the stippling brush from Real Techniques.

The next thing I got were some Sleek palettes : Garden of Eden, Original, v1 brights. I was really wanting to incorporate more bright colors into my makeup routine, so I thought : what's better than all the essential, flashy colors you need combined in one palette ? I've been using it to create a yellow inner corner and I really like it.  I'm not going to go into too much detail in here but let me tell you, it is very pigmented, stays on really well and for the price, it's really good stuff.

from left to right : Garden of Eden, V1 Brights, Original

Since Safiya and I are both beauty freaks, it was really nice to shop together because we almost wanted the same things. We were both obsessed with the Kylie Jenner lip trend and wanted to get our hands on the MAC Whirl lip pencil, which is the color she uses. Unfortunately, it was sold out EVERYWHERE in London! We even checked on the MAC France website, and it was as well. So what we did was trying to find a close match, but we both have different skin tones (mine is darker). For me, the perfect color was 'Cream O' Spice' which looks like the color 'Spice' but with a darker, browner tone. Also, it moisturizes the lips which is something I find pretty hard to find in lipliners in general. It stays really well the entire day, and it has definitely become a staple of mine (although I did finally get my hands on Whirl!). I wear it everyday. The only downside is that, since it is a retractable pencil, it breaks off easily, so you have to be very gentle when you apply it.

The last thing I was dying to find in London was the Benefit 'Cheeky Sweet Pot' Limited Edition Blush Palette, and it was sold out in a lot of places, except in John Lewis. Here's the baby :

This palette contains 5 mini blushes from the brand - Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Coralista and Rockateur, 1 bronzer - Hoola - and the Watt's Up highlighter. Since I only owned the full size Hoola bronzer and was hitting the pan, but didn't want to spend €30 on blushes individually, this felt like a dream to get them all at once. They're all pretty warm-toned, which I really like since I think light-toned colors don't really suit me. The packaging is so cute, feels so 'Christmassy' but is also a little bulky and not that travel-friendly, and considering we had weight limit on the way back, that was such a bummer!

Finally, some home & productivity related things I  got were this check list from Muji, a scrapbook from Primark, and a scented candle also from Primark. The check list was so useful since we had many things to do, and I got into the habit of writing down things I need to get done by the end of the week now. I think it helps you see more clearly where you're at and keeps you organized.

That's it guys for the haul guys !  Obviously, you noticed, but I've just switched my language to English since I think it is a more understandable language to anyone who might come across my blog, French speakers included.  I hope you liked it :)

De gauche à droite : YSL Rouge Volupté in 'Pink In Paris', Topshop 'Infrared', ELF Mineral Lipstick in 'Rich Raspberry', YSL Rouge Volupté in 'Red Muse', MAC x Rihanna in 'Talk that Talk'

    TADAMMM !
